TING, ROCK and ROLL
Use these three tests to determine which railing to choose: TING, ROCK, ROLL.
TING
The very first thing you should know about aluminum railing is where it comes from. We call it the “Ting” test. Ting the foreign railing with your finger and listen to the high pitched “ting” sound. Ting our Canadian Engineered railing, and it makes a “Thunk” sound. The difference is the thickness. The thinnest component in our railing is THICKER than the competitions’ thickest component. It is quite simply the best.
ROCK
The next thing you should know is that our railing is engineered. That means it is an ENGINEERED SOLUTION, and is suitable for highrise installations, surpasses all the building code standards, and we can back it up with the stamped and signed test documentation. Further to this, we have the strongest design, period.
For instance, look at the foreign top rail, and you will see it is in pieces, joined at every post, with a sleeve or cap over the top. If you grab it at the join, you can rock it back and forth.
Our top rail is continuous, carries over the top of the posts in one piece, and is secured from underneath. Grab our rail, and try to rock it back and forth; you will immediately see the difference.
ROLL
Check out the first picture below. During testing, they roll the top rail, exerting immense pressure to look for structural deficiencies. The first picture shows a vertical force of 2.25kN/m, 154 plf. The second picture shows horizontal pressure being applied to the topless rail system tempered glass panel (337 lbs. Note it bends out past the rail post.)

Swatches:
The topless glass system, without a top rail, uses 10mm tempered glass for extra safety, and is available in two styles, short and tall post. The short post configuration has the glass at the same height as the post top, whereas the tall post configuration has the glass extending above the post top by 4”.
